# Tags

The tag filter enables limiting results that have the selected tag applied. A tag is applied in the analysis process to categorise and organise submissions into groups. If these tags have been applied to the dataset it is possible to filter the results by one or more tags.

To access the Tags field filter from the Analyse view click on Filter to open the Filter panel options. Tags is located underneath Status.

## Open Tags Filter

To apply a tag filter in Analyse, click on the Tags button. This will open the tags filter panel:

* **Search Bar:** Enter a term in the quick search text box to show tags matching the term
* **All references/Full record/Coded text:** Select results with the tag applies at both a record or coded level, or filter to only record level text, or to only coded text matches.
* **Any/All toggle:** Switch between showing results that have any (one or more) of the applied tags, or only show results that have all of the applied tags.
* **Tag folders:** Tag folders will display how they have been set up in Configure. Click through to expand and select the required tag/s.

## Apply a Tag Filter

Click on the desired tag to select. It will highlight and display a checkmark.

The number of selected tags will appear at the top of the tag list.

Repeat to select multiple tags if required.

When tags have been selected, click “Apply” in the bottom right corner of the Filter panel to limit results to only those with the tag/s applied:

## Remove a Tag Filter

To remove a tag filter, click the Filter button to open the Filter panel. Find the tag to deselect and click on it or on the \[X] next to it.

Click “Apply” in the bottom right corner of the Filter panel and the tag will be removed from results:

### Remove multiple Tag Filters

To remove all tag filters, click x Clear all in the Tag Filter panel. Click “Apply” in the bottom right corner of the Filter panel to confirm removal of the Tag filters:
