Settings

The Settings panel in the Compose section allows you to configure how your message will be sent and published. From email broadcasting to web publication, this panel ensures your message reaches your stakeholders with the right details and settings. To open Settings, open Compose and select the Settings tab from the left hand Configure panel:

Message Configuration

  • Message Name: Assign a unique name to your message for easy tracking and organisation within your Broadcasts. This name is for internal use only and won’t be visible to recipients.
  • Send Email: Enable this toggle to send your message as an email broadcast. Once toggled on, you can configure additional email settings like subject lines and recipient lists.
  • Publish to Web: Activate this toggle to make your message available on a unique web page. This is useful for sharing your content online beyond email recipients.
  • Scheduling: Click to set a publish date and time, or select Immediately to send the message as soon as it is published.

Email Settings

To enable email settings, ensure the Send Email toggle is ON.
  • Subject: Set the email subject line that will appear in recipients’ inboxes.
  • Email preview text: Set a short summary that appears next to the subject line in recipients’ inboxes.
  • Send Message from: Choose the sender identity for this message. Workspace admins can add and verify sending identities from Messages Configure.
  • Campaign tracking: Optionally append UTM parameters to email links.
  • Send to: Select your recipients using contact filters, lists and labels.

Configure Sending Identities

You can set up to three different sending identities for your messages. A sending identity includes the From Name and Email Address that recipients will see when they receive your emails.

Adding a Sending Identity

To add a new sending identity, open Configure from Messages.
  • Click the +Add From Address to enter a new sending identity.
  • Enter the From Name and Email Address you want to send from.
  • Click Add Email to save the new identity.
The status will initially appear as Pending while the email is being verified. Note: We send a confirmation email to the address you add. You need to click on a link in that email to verify it before it can be used as a sending identity. Ensure the email address you enter here is one you have access to.

Verifying Your Sending Identity

To start using the email address you will need to verify it.
  • You will receive a verification email from Converlens.
  • Click the approval link in the email to confirm your address.
  • Converlens will load a confirmation of the verification:
    • Success: Your email has been verified. You can now send messages from this address.
    • Failure: Unable to verify your email. Please try again or contact support.
  • It may take a few minutes for the status to update to Confirmed.
  • Once confirmed, you can set a default sending identity if needed.

Mailing Address Requirement

To comply with anti-spam laws, your mailing address will appear in the footer of every email you send via Converlens. If you do not have a mailing address, you can use the default Converlens address.
