- Colour maps:
- Bright: designed to display a visually vibrant and colourful map. It typically features vivid colours and clear, distinct details, making it visually appealing and easy to read.
- OpenStreetMap: a balanced combination of features and elements, providing a familiar and straightforward representation of geographic data.
- Outdoors: optimised for displaying outdoor recreational areas and natural landscapes.
- Satellite: shows a satellite view of the Earth’s surface, using satellite imagery to represent geographical locations.
- Terrain: emphasizes the topographic features of the landscape, including elevation and physical characteristics.
- Watercolour: The “Watercolour” map type mimics the appearance of a hand-drawn watercolour painting
- Neutral Maps
- Light: a bright and well-lit colour scheme. It uses lighter colours for land areas and various shades of blue for water bodies. The map labels and features are usually displayed in darker colours to enhance visibility and readability.
- Dark: subdued and moody colour scheme. It uses darker tones for both land and water features, creating a visually distinct and elegant look. The labels and symbols on the map are often displayed in lighter colours to stand out against the dark background.
- Light toner: a soft, grayscale toner-style rendering. It uses light grey tones for land areas and slightly darker greys for water bodies. The map features and labels are typically displayed in various shades of grey, providing a clean and minimalist appearance.
- Toner: a fully grayscale or black-and-white style. It uses black for land masses and white for water bodies. The map features, labels, and symbols are all displayed in black and white, creating a monochromatic look.
- Colour maps:
- Show markers toggle: Toggle on/off to show/hide the map markers indicating location of responses on the map
- Marker Icon: Click to change the icon of the marker between the options provided.
- Marker Colour: Click to change the colour of the marker.
- Enable clustering of markers toggle: Toggle on/off to group/separate markers where multiple responses were located in close proximity. When toggled on the map will display a marker with a number indicating the responses from that proximity. When toggled off the map will display all markers individually.
- Choropleth dropdown (Country/Geographical Unit): Click the dropdown to change the country location (default Australia) and Geographical unit (default None).
- Latitude and Longitude: Enter specific latitude and longitude values to display the map
- Zoom level: Manually enter a number in the zoom level to change zoom (size) of map or use the slider (click and drag) to experiment with different zoom level.
