A content/media block is a non-interactable block, meaning respondents do not enter an answer to this block. The universal Content/Media block options are:
  • Visible to admins only: Toggle on/off to limit the block to project admins.
  • Duplicate block: Clicking this link will duplicate the current block including all text, settings and logic.
  • Delete Block: Remove/delete the block from the survey entirely. There is no restore for this action.

Edit title and description

To edit the title in the content/media block click on the Title text here… title section in the block in the Survey editor column. To add further details click on the Description or details (optional)… text section in the block in the Survey editor column. To add a link, image, or attachment, type some text into the description text section. Click or highlight (select) any text and a floating menu will appear.

Text formatting editor

There are 3 functions to edit the text formatting in a content/media block. These are available in the floating Rich Text Editor (RTE) menu.
  • P: Change the paragraph style settings (Headings, Bullet Lists, Numbered Lists, Block Quote)
  • B: Change the text to bold
  • I: Change the text to italics
To add a link in the content/media block, select (highlight) the text where you want the link to appear. Click the chain icon. This will open a box for you to enter the link. There is a checkbox to select/deselect opening the link in a new window. Enter the URL link in the text box and click the blue tick when complete: Once a link has been added, the link menu will display. Clicking on the link will open the link (in a new window if selected otherwise it will open in the same tab and take you away from the survey). To edit the link, click on the pencil icon. To remove the link, click on the cross through chain icon.

Adding an image

To add an image, click the text area in the description where you would like your image to appear. Open the floating menu. Click the picture icon. This will open a file explorer window where you can upload your image. To delete the image, simply click on it in the description and press the delete or backspace button on your keyboard.

Adding an attachment

To add an attachment, select the text in the description where you would like your attachment to appear. Open the floating menu. Click the paperclip icon. This will open a file explorer window where you can upload your attachment. Tip: The attachment will display as the name of the file and file type. Make sure you save the attachment using the title you want to display in the survey. To edit or delete the attachment you can select the attachment in the description and press the delete or backspace button on your keyboard. You can also access the attachment settings via a floating menu where you can edit the link by clicking on the pencil icon or delete the attachment by clicking on the bin icon.
