A multiple choice block is a question type that presents a list of options, allowing participants to select one or multiple responses based on the provided choices. The Multiple choice block options are:
  • Require a response: Toggle on/off to require respondents to submit an answer to this question block
  • Enable multiple selection: Toggle on/off to enable/disable respondents being able to choose more than one option from the choices.
  • Randomise order: Toggle on/off to enable/disable randomisation of the choice options.
  • Enable “Other” option: Toggle on/off to enable/disable “Other” option which will display a text description box for a respondent to specify
  • Use columns for layout: Toggle on/off to display choices in columns or a single list

Edit title and description

To edit the title in the block click on the Add optional content title… title section in the block in the Survey editor column. To add further details in the block click on the Description or details (optional)… text section in the block in the Survey editor column.

Adding choices

To add choices there are two options:
  • Add
    • Click on +Add and type each option 1 by 1 in the Choice text box
  • Bulk Add
    • Click on +Bulk Add to add multiple choices at once. This will open a pop out box where you can enter each choice for the block separated by a new line per choice. When complete, click the Add choices button and remember to Save your changes before moving onto the next block.
